Oatmeal Crispies

Today "book group" gets oatmeal crispies. Uncle Kyle's favorite! Thanks Charlie for helping out!

Bathroom update!

The grout is all done. The sink and toilet are up and running (we just need to seal the grout in the bathtub and change the leaky faucet).

We ended up saving some money by keeping the old vanity and replacing the sides (thank to Dan) that were pretty warped from water.

Here is a shot with Emmett and the shower curtain. Here is the rest of the to do list: seal grout, prime, paint, hang curtain rods and buy new mirror and faucet. That seems like a lot left...but we are so glad to have a functional downstairs bathroom! We love it!

My mom, Brooke and I like following the directions to a T. The boys like creating their own things...

This morning we headed out to Hinsdale to hang out with the Strombergs and then headed over to the Morton Arboretum for "Husky Heroes." Emmett would not keep his little mittens on and just wanted to keep eating the snow. Thus, it was a shortened trip for sure. Look at those poor hands!

We drove straight to Nadia and Aidan's house for dinner tonight. The boys love playing together and Nadia cooked a great dinner!

Shedd

We had to drive Erik and our friend Jeff G to a hotel downtown so we decided to make the most of it and head to the Shedd! I just love doing these kinds of things with these boys, they are so much fun and so interested in everything. Thanks Nana and Papa for the pass!

Three little penguins.

After the Shedd we headed over to my parents for a little LEGO sleepover. Everyone had so much fun creating things. My mom and I stayed up until midnight working on our creations. It brought back so many memories and I loved every minute of it (well, except when Emmett and Adeline would dump over our boxes).

TRAINS!

Our collection of trains has been growing and growing thanks to Christmas and some older boys passing them down. This morning before the big boys woke up I put this track together...I was pretty proud of it. I wish I had a space I could just devote to these kinds of things. I hate taking it all apart!

Sunday School paper

Today when I picked Jackson up from Sunday School, one of the teachers handed me this and said "I just wanted to let you know that Jackson colored the eyes, eyebrows and smile all by himself." I looked at the face and just smiled...how cute is the expression on this little guy?! I think it is worthy of a spot on the blog!

In the kitchen...

Every Monday night we have the High School kids over for "book group" and every Monday night the boys and I make a delicious treat for them to enjoy! Today we made "S'mores cupcakes"...as you can see the boys enjoyed helping me and licking the spoons.

Later we made some new playdough and Emmett got to enjoy it for the first time!

Lefty?

I know it is too early to tell, but Emmett has been using his left hand for everything. Do we have a little lefty on our hands?

Last, but certainly not least, here is an update on the bathroom. Erik and Dan have been working away at getting the tile up around the tub. The floor is tiled already (no grout yet). I believe the next step is the rest of the walls and bull nose around the top. (Dan calls it bull nose...I think it is like trim for tile!) We opted for tile on the walls mostly because we have 3 boys and anticipate a lot of pee missing the toilet! We need suggestions for the wall color...any ideas out there?

The littlest stinker

Emmett loves getting into everything...literally! Here he is in the sink while I get ready in the morning. He also loves to brush his teeth. He is a little stinker right now, but look at that cute face...

For the Condaps...

For Christmas, Auntie Erin made the boys these awesome cover-ups. We use them as robes right now, but are looking forward to using them at the pool and the beach this summer. I tried to get a picture of all of them wearing them tonight, but only this one of Emmett turned out semi decent!

And after we got all dried off it was time for some "walking in your winter underwear"! It started out as a song and then turned into an underwear fight...I guess that is what you get with all boys!

Mormor loves me...

Jackson wore the "Mormor Loves Me" shirt today, so we took a picture (or two) for Mormor!

Here is a silly video of Emmett with a pot on his shoe! Enjoy!
