Animal Sounds

Here is a new video of Caleb making different animal sounds. Sorry for the delay between horse and duck...he got a hold of the camera case! But I think he does pretty well for a 1.5 year old. Right now I think my favorite is the frog sound. Which sound is your favorite?

The Zoo

Gairette, Saige, Tristan, Caleb and Sophie

Today we went to the Lincoln Park Zoo with my cousin Wendy and her three girls. We eventually met up with my Aunt Betty, cousin Kendell and the Rills. It was such a great day to be outside and enjoy the weather. Caleb loved being with everyone and seeing all the different animals. I think he liked the cows the best.

Sophie and I had a sleepover on Sunday night. I started babysitting for Sophie when she was 4 years old; she is now almost 14! She was such a big help with Caleb. Crazy to think that someone I used to babysit is now old enough to watch my kids! Thanks Sophie!

There are a lot of women at the Seminary pregnant right now. Here's a picture of just a few of us enjoying the beautiful weather. From left to right: Sarah, Me, Amy and Sharon. Sarah and I are due the exact same day, which means we are 27 weeks pregnant in this picture. Amy is 28.5 weeks and Sharon is 31 weeks. We can't wait to meet our little ones!

Little Drummer Boy

Every Wednesday we go to church for an all church dinner and some singing in "the upper room". Caleb has fallen in love with the drums. Here is a picture of him drumming afterwards and some videos of him dancing and "drumming" to the songs. Are we going to be the family with the drums in the garage and band practice every Friday?

Storytime

My friend Jen and I took the kids to Storytime at a local library today. Caleb enjoyed himself, but wasn't able to just sit in one place the whole time. Here of some snapshots of how he "listened" to the books being read.

We started out by standing in the middle of the rug, right in front of the teacher.

Then he decided to sit...facing the wrong direction.

And finally he settled in by Joel, all the while sucking away at that poor thumb.

The Shedd Aqaurium

Today we went to the Shedd Aquarium (thanks Rills!) Caleb just walked around the whole time saying "fish" or "water!" He especially loved the dolphin show, and sat through the whole thing.

Caleb and his tunnel

Caleb has been afraid of his tunnel up until a few days ago, now, that is all he wants to play with. He basically wakes up in the morning saying "tunnel!"

24 weeks

Here's me and the baby at 24 weeks. Oh yeah, we are calling this baby "Quatro" because he/she will be the fourth person in our family (my mom actually chose it because this will be her fourth grandchild...but I wanted to be able to use the nickname as well!) I am feeling great, the baby is kicking a ton and recently Caleb learned that there is a baby in my tummy. When we say "Caleb, where's the baby?", he lifts up my shirt and points at my belly. He will also give the baby kisses if we ask him to!

The Austin girls come to Chicago!

This morning we finally got to meet the Austin girls! Karina had a meeting for soccer in Chicago, so her, Jason and the girls drove down for a quick visit. They all came over this morning and we had breakfast at Tre Kronor. It was so fun to see them, but I didn't really get the feel for the craziness in the Austin household since the boys weren't here. I am so ready to have another little one to hold!

Caleb and Madison

Me and Madison

Me and Kate

Caleb and Kate. He kept saying "baby".

Caleb and Madison. It really seemed like he wanted to hold her but once we put her next to him he got a little upset and wanted nothing to do with her.

For dessert tonight I made this ice cream thing with marshmallow fluff. I let Caleb lick the spatula after I was done...he loved it, but was really sticky!
