Storytime

My friend Jen and I took the kids to Storytime at a local library today. Caleb enjoyed himself, but wasn't able to just sit in one place the whole time. Here of some snapshots of how he "listened" to the books being read.

We started out by standing in the middle of the rug, right in front of the teacher.

Then he decided to sit...facing the wrong direction.

And finally he settled in by Joel, all the while sucking away at that poor thumb.

It would be sooo much fun to look out into my storytimes at the library and see Caleb doing all those reactions! He is such a dearie!

We expect (as Storytime teachers) to see almost anything. Sometimes the kids sit so close to me, rub my legs, touch my hair, act like I am not there at all, dance like there's no tomorrow when we do singing and music. But, the "anything goes" went a bit too far when Mom brought a potty seat and the child used it right there in the session! (Yuck!) Your Caleb is right on track!
