The North Parker

I've been trying to get a good picture of the two boys...I think this one is pretty cute. We actually sent it in to North Park for the next North Parker. We'll see if they make the next publication.

Bathtime

Tonight Jackson got to take a bath with the big boys! Caleb loved having another person to pour water on and put on a good smile for the camera.

Pool Party

A little pool time at the Rills! Caleb stayed out of the pool for the first half hour...a little afraid. Every once in a while he would climb up the ladder and Grayden and Olivia would cheer for him. He eventually made it into the water but didn't ever venture too far away from the ladder. He definitely like to ease into things, I think he gets that from Erik...not me!

Updates

On Friday Jackson and I went to the doctor for his 2 month check up. Crazy that he is already 2 months old! He weighed in at 12 pounds 7 ounces (75th percentile) and measured 23.5 inches long (also 75th percentile). He is a big guy and very strong. He is smiling and laughing (mostly at Caleb) and does a great job holding his head up.

Caleb is growing up so fast! Since we moved Caleb has had a "big boy bed" in his room. We've spent time reading books, playing games and laying on it with him. On Monday we decided to take a nap in the big boy bed and have been sleeping there ever since. I was suprised how easy of a transition it was for him. He loves sleeping there and now calls the crib "Jackson's bed". Caleb has also decided that he likes to go pee on the potty. He will pretty much always go after his bath and sometimes in the morning. He is by no means potty trained, but it is so cute to see him sitting on the potty. They really do grow up so fast!

Saturday Morning at Millenium Park

I woke up this morning and decided it would be fun to go to Millenium Park so Caleb could play in the fountain. It was the perfect morning...as you can see, he absolutely loved it!

Jackson trying to join in on the fun

He was splashing, running, jumping and laying in the water. He even let Erik put him under the water that sprays out of the mouth of the fountain! He was soaked from head to toe.

We're back!

We just got back from our vacation yesterday. We had such a great time visiting with family and friends. Here is a recap of our trip: We stayed with the Hudson's in Iron River, MI, then went to family camp and Covenant Point and then went and visited Jeff and Anna in Duluth, MN.

Friday, July 27
Caleb loved throwing the rocks into the water. You will see several pictures of him doing this throughout our trip!

Saturday, July 28

Uncle Kyle and Uncle Colby finally got to meet Jackson.

Auntie Jenny got to meet him too.

More rocks...
and more rocks.

Sunday, July 29

Thank you Jack and Verl (Caleb says "vervl"), we are so blessed to have you as friends.

Monday, July 30 Here we are at family camp. Jackson is wearing the Covenant Point hat at Covenant Point.
Jackson laying out at the beach.

For dinner we had a "Chili Hootenanny"
After dinner Papa and Caleb threw more rocks. (Dave and Papa were up at their place on Hagerman for a few days during family camp).

Tuesday, July 31

Caleb and Nellie at the beach.

These guys tried really hard to get Caleb to enjoy the water...this is as far in as he would go and would much rather play in the sand.
Wednesday, August 1
A little hike to the back forty.

Thursday, August 2

Caleb and Erik went out to the Island. This is the cabin where the Island directors stay...Colby's home for the summer.

Friday, August 3
My boys!

Sunday, August 5

Here we are in Duluth.
I guess one of our friends went on a date with the guy who made this!

We left Jackson at home with Jeff's parents (the grandparents to be in December) and then met them for pizza later. They loved it and said Jackson did great!

Our family

We went for a hike and ended up at this beautiful overlook. Thanks Jeff and Anna for a wonderful time. We can't wait for your little one to join in all the fun!

Jeff's uncle owns a garbage company so we took Caleb to see one of the new trucks (he loves all sorts of trucks). Once we were that close he got scared and didn't really want anything to do with them.
