Bathroom update!
Saturday, January 29, 2011
My mom, Brooke and I like following the directions to a T. The boys like creating their own things...
This morning we headed out to Hinsdale to hang out with the Strombergs and then headed over to the Morton Arboretum for "Husky Heroes." Emmett would not keep his little mittens on and just wanted to keep eating the snow. Thus, it was a shortened trip for sure. Look at those poor hands!

Shedd
We had to drive Erik and our friend Jeff G to a hotel downtown so we decided to make the most of it and head to the Shedd! I just love doing these kinds of things with these boys, they are so much fun and so interested in everything. Thanks Nana and Papa for the pass!
After the Shedd we headed over to my parents for a little LEGO sleepover. Everyone had so much fun creating things. My mom and I stayed up until midnight working on our creations. It brought back so many memories and I loved every minute of it (well, except when Emmett and Adeline would dump over our boxes).

TRAINS!
Our collection of trains has been growing and growing thanks to Christmas and some older boys passing them down. This morning before the big boys woke up I put this track together...I was pretty proud of it. I wish I had a space I could just devote to these kinds of things. I hate taking it all apart!

Sunday School paper
Today when I picked Jackson up from Sunday School, one of the teachers handed me this and said "I just wanted to let you know that Jackson colored the eyes, eyebrows and smile all by himself." I looked at the face and just smiled...how cute is the expression on this little guy?! I think it is worthy of a spot on the blog!

Lefty?
I know it is too early to tell, but Emmett has been using his left hand for everything. Do we have a little lefty on our hands?
Last, but certainly not least, here is an update on the bathroom. Erik and Dan have been working away at getting the tile up around the tub. The floor is tiled already (no grout yet). I believe the next step is the rest of the walls and bull nose around the top. (Dan calls it bull nose...I think it is like trim for tile!) We opted for tile on the walls mostly because we have 3 boys and anticipate a lot of pee missing the toilet! We need suggestions for the wall color...any ideas out there?
