Caleb is 9 months old

I forgot how much I loved this picture of Caleb. Erik was looking through recent pictures and came across this one. I guess I had forgotten about it. It was taken a few weeks ago now. Caleb is growing up so quickly and learning so many new things. On our drive back from camp I was singing "Pat-A-Cake" to him and doing the motions with him. Now when we sing that song to him he tries to "roll it and pat it" with his hands. So cute.

I added this other picture from when Caleb was a month old. It is just so crazy to me how different he looks. Is that even the same baby? His hair color has changed so much. We go to the doctor on Friday so we will find out just how big he is.

Our car has been in the shop for over a week now, so we have resorted to public transportation, our bikes and borrowing getting ride from Uncle Dave! Anyway, yesterday I had to take Caleb to get some blood work done, so we took the bus there. (Caleb's first time on the CTA.) I think he enjoyed himself. But the sad thing was that when they pricked him they did not find the vein, so the technician was digging all around trying to get a vein. He finally took it out and then had to prick him in the other arm. Caleb was such a trooper, he cried, but not too bad. My poor little patient, I hope he doesn't end up having as much trouble giving blood as me.
