Soldier Field 10 mile

This morning we all loaded in the van for the big race. Erik and the boys made me these wonderful signs. Whenever I've done races and saw little kids cheering on their parents it made me so excited for the day when my little ones would be cheering for me...and here we are! When I ran past them at mile 2 I thought for sure I would just start balling, but it all happened so quickly I didn't even have a chance to get emotional.

Caleb's last day of school and Wagner Farm

Today was Caleb's last day of preschool. We met all his friends and their families for a picnic at church. The boys were excited about the dessert (or gessert as Jackson calls it!)

This afternoon we headed over to Wagner Farm with Caroline, Cooper and Joy. I think this was the first time the boys actually touched the farm animals. After the farm we headed over to my parents for to carbo load for our race tomorrow!

Today we went to the Zoo...but so did every other person in Chicago! We tried to go into a few of the houses and were so overwhelmed by people that we just walked across the street and played at the park. I think this might be the only picture of all four boys.

It was so hot today we took out all the water toys. Emmett loved playing with and watching the big boys.

Tonight at church we celebrated our seniors with a dinner followed by a slide show, prayers and plants. What a great year we had with these students.

Botanic Garden

We took Jeff and Anna, the boys and Gwen to the gardens today. (Apparently I didn't take any pictures with Jeff and Anna!) We had so much fun walking around and letting the kids just enjoy God's beautiful creation.

Jeff, Anna, Grant and Henrick spend the weekend with us. We feel so blessed to have a house that we can have guests stay over. Emmett and Henrick were already asleep in this picture. Thanks for staying with us...we loved it!
