When we were at church a friend asked if we wanted to take a "butterfly" home with us. It was a cocoon attached to the bottom of a plastic cup. He said it would come out in a few days. Sure enough we woke up one morning and there was the butterfly. Caleb and I brought it down to our front porch and let it go. It hung around for a few pictures first. Caleb loved it and kept calling the cocoon a canoe!

Summer Haircut
We went over to the Rill's today for a haircut. Tammy cuts all her kids hair so she had the routine all figured out, a movie and a lollipop. Caleb did great and he looks like a Rill boy with his short hair! Thanks Tammy, we love it!
This picture was actually taken on Wednesday. Karina came in to town with ALL of her kids to see her new neice at Swedish Covenant. We all gathered on the green space at North Park for a little play time. 3 moms, 7 kids!

The proud big brother. He asks to hold Jackson now.
Hannah (a friend from camp) came to see Jackson for the first time. She is spending the year in Costa Rica. We were so glad to be part of her visit.
Later tonight we had a huge rain storm, so Caleb and I went outside to jump in the puddles. He was having so much fun.

The 4th of July
We went to the Evanston Parade. Jackson slept through the whole thing, Caleb wasn't so sure about it at first but is still talking about the parade today! When he holds that little fan thing he says "my parade." I feel bad that he'll have to wait a whole year for another parade.
Matt and Beth came over for dinner the other night. Here they are entertaining our boys. Jackson was crying the entire time!
