Good News Kitchen

We were invited to attend the Good News Kitchen Benefit on Sunday. It was so fun to go out and be dressed up with friends. We had a great time and Erik was one number away from winning the raffle!

We spent most of the day in the pre-school room. Caleb loved all the wooden trucks and things.

I thought he looked so cute working so hard in such a nice outfit.

Here is Caleb waiting in the back of the church to walk down the aisle. See his little pumpkin Pez on the step? The deal was that if he walked down the aisle he would get his Pez. There were a few moments that I really thought he might do this.

This picture is so funny to me. He wanted to take a picture of his pumpkin, so I let him. He covered the flash with his fingers and this is what happened...doesn't it look kinda Halloweeny?!

We thought Caleb might make it further down the aisle if Erik walked with him. This is the start..fingers in the mouth...but walking none the less.

This was the last step, tears and loud crying. Erik ended up picking him up and walking out the back door. I have it all on video but don't know how to get video from my video camera to the computer. Some day my brother Colby will help me with all of that.

I still let him eat his candy. What a pathetic little ring bearer. At one point he said "I didn't do it mommy." I think he took about eight steps down the aisle...way to go Caleb!

Jackson didn't make the cut! He was asleep.

Practice

Today was Benj an Marit's rehearsal dinner. For those of you that might not have known, Caleb was the ring bearer. We got some good pictures of the littlest ring bearer. But first, this picture shows how I started my day. I turned around to do something and found Caleb enjoying the exersaucer with Jackson.

Everything started out great. Caleb stood at the front with Benj happily eating the 'Pez' we bought as a bribe.



But actually walking down the aisle was a little too much for him.

I was going through old pictures to see if Caleb and Jackson look alike. What do you think?

Go Cubs!

Both boys are ready to cheer on the Cubs tonight! Thanks to Erik's friend Fazia for the shirts! Not real easy to get a good one with both boys, but Jackson was real excited about pictures and I couldn't just choose one!

Go North Park!

Last weekend we went to the North Park homecoming soccer game and Jackson sported this little sweatshirt! It is actually Kira's, I was so excited for him to get to wear it.

Remember on Caleb's birthday when we went to the Kohl Children's Museum? I never mentioned that our picture was taken for the Glenview Journal! We recieved the paper in the mail the other day...here is Caleb's first newspaper clipping! What a great way to document his second birthday.

Apple Picking with the kids

Today we went to the apple orchard. We picked a whole bag of apples, tried many different kinds and then headed over to the little pond. Erin and I did our best to get some pictures of all the kids today. These next few are our favorites! ENJOY!
