The work begins.

The boys and I visited the new house every single day. We were all so excited for this new home. Here, the boys are sitting in the family room. The wood paneled walls are primed and ready to paint thanks to cousin Al!

Poppa and Erik worked really hard to get rid of these two HUGE bushes. They took up so much green space in our yard. Now we are trying to grow new grass.

One night the boys and I went to the new house for dinner and they got to help dig out the stumps. You can imagine how excited they were.

It's Official...

We're home owners! Here were are with "our team", all friends from church that helped us with this process. Thanks everyone!

Ultrasound!!!

Early this morning Erik and I headed in for our "20 week" ultrasound. We told our tech that we didn't want her to tell us the sex of the baby but we were both trying to look for any clues. It was so exciting to be able to see this baby, he/she was moving around a lot and we even got to see the mouth opening and closing! At one point I turned to Erik and said "I love this baby so much." Sometimes it seems impossible to love three kids so much, but once I saw that face, those arms and legs and toes I was filled with so much love. We cannot wait to meet this little one and wonder how much our lives will change because of them.

Botanic Gardens

Today we went to the Botanic Gardens with the Johnson girls. It was a gorgeous day and the kids had so much fun running around together.

Caleb was "reading" all the signs. "Do not go in the flowers or in the water."

Bare feet in the grass....what could be better?

The chasing turned quickly into wrestling. We are so glad that Gwen enjoys this sport as well...thanks Cam!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIK!

We celebrated Cinco de Mayo with great friends and great food. Happy Birthday Erik! We love you so much and are excited for all that is in store for you this year.

To the beach

We enjoyed an afternoon at the beach, complete with digging and flying kites. The boys were so glad to spend so much time outside today and were exhausted at bedtime!

Gwen's Birthday

This morning we met a bunch of friends at the zoo to celebrate Gwen's birthday. We couldn't have asked for a better day.Mackenzie, Jackson, Caleb, Gwen, Gabby and Maddie

We had a picnic lunch followed by a little "Happy Birthday" and homemade sugar cookies.

After visiting all the exhibits we headed to the train for a special birthday train ride...hoping the kids don't think we'll do that every time now! Happy Birthday Gwen, we love you!

May Day

We celebrated 'May Day' last year with Gwen and Linnea (we had never heard of it before then) and are now making a tradition of it. This year Jackson was more involved and Sonja was her normal smiling self.

It took Jackson a while to realize he should give his flowers away, but he eventually got the idea!

Then we headed outside and found a worm...
